We have updated our AVA Mastering EQ to version 2.0!

What's New?

The AVA Mastering EQ's has a new RTA analyzer with 3 display modes.

Lightning Mode is an innovative new display method that shows an averaged value for the RTA curve, and it simultaneously shows the peaks in your signal with brighter, bolder sections of the curve:

Let me know what you think!

-Ben at Harrison

oh boy, I just saw this now, because I was researching for the current AVA sale. I have tons of plug-ins already and I nearly gave a pass to M-EQ, too. Until I understood how easy M-EQ actually works and that V2 now has an RTA!!

The RTA made the difference from 'very nice' to 'Total Must-Have'!

So, I just bought it and what can I say: the GUI is pure bliss to work with and gave me an instant-boner! - sorry for infantile expression but I wasn't so excited about of a plugin for years (maybe since Sonnox Dynamic EQ).

It's so easy to just draw in EQ-curves I have in my head, I am blown away and it sounds great, too.

The other AVA-Plugins don't tickle me even remotely as much - but M-EQ ... this just 'is it'.

So thanks a lot for that. :D

this is free today only

pretty cool...free on friday

kirito12th October 2019 06:46 PM

Is it possible to do a high shelf on this EQ ?

Hardtoe13th October 2019 02:46 AM

I just got it free now - it sounds fantastic and unique to use! (And I have DMG Equalibrium, FF ProQ 3, TDR SLICK, etc)

Prefect for the last shaping step on a master.

Certainly is, shape it exactly how you want it.

kirito13th October 2019 03:12 PM

i didn't suceed to do it, is just a bell

GavsaGS13th October 2019 09:54 PM

great score!

Just scored this guy for free! love it gui took a second to get used to. hate the draw holding the click thing, but using the mouse track wheel to boost and cut each frequency is the go and fast to dial in exactly what i want. The top end boost is very good for digital. great plug in.

good link of proQ vs AVA ..posted earlier

Deleted b6a0bc714th October 2019 08:52 AM

Despite that review, ProQ sounds a bit hollow to me, whereas AVA can almost sound invisible. There is something else going on beyond curves that makes certain equalizers stand out.

I am really loving the sound or lack there of, of this still free Mastering Eq. If you don’t own already it, grab it while it is still free here: https://harrisonconsoles.com/site/free-plugin.html

A mastering EQ made by Harrison Consoles for free? Must be one of the best deals around.

M_nyh28th October 2019 10:08 PM

Absolutely loving this already. TThe RTA ligthning is really smooth, love the flashes! Also like the scroll, find it a bit hard to use so far, but will probably get used to it. Also the way for making small adjustments with shift+click is great. Thanks for this in the manual:

"NOTE: the RTA requires considerable CPU resources and should be disabled when not in use."

Best freebie in a while! :rockout:

Gentle on the master and easy goto material for the same.

It's been almost a year, and i still don't understand why people don't go crazy about this EQ, probably one of the best if not the best sounding parametric EQ there is.

Yes that's a bold statement, and yes i have the ProQ3, The Sonnox Eq, tried Equilibrium and many others, the AVA Meq complete my Acustica stuff perfectly

I agree, I use it all over the place. Mainly as a surgical EQ, after a analog modeld EQ, on almost every channel & bus for corrections

Deff J30th September 2020 10:57 PM

Yup, this is a fantastic EQ. The perfect mix of high fidelity, zero latency!, fairly low CPU and interesting workflow (once you get used to painting frequencies).

This and the Weiss will cover digital EQ. Ive used most digital eqs and all the others sort of disappoint me in the end (in regards to clarity, impact or just sounding natural).

Hey. That's a statement. Would you say the AVA M-EQ is up quality wise with the Weiss EQ? Cheers

Nothing beats the clarity of the weiss. But this eq is really good in the high freqs for a zero latency plugin.

I thought so.
Thanks again. Cheers

Harrison ME

This is a fine eq and is growing on me. Thanks.

crystalmsc12th January 2021 08:11 AM

Free until Jan 15th https://harrisonconsoles.lpages.co/free-plugin-pte

I don't understand, how on earth they keep giving such an amazing eq for free..

nichttuntun12th January 2021 09:24 AM

I start to like those plugins soundwise. I'm not too comfortable with the GUI yet. The legacy EQ is great.

The Mixconsole C32 interests me a lot. Everything in one tool already from the beginning without having the need to implement a preamp, a saturator or a channel strip on every channel, as usual with a DAW like Cubase or Pro tools. That concept of emulating a real console and this as your main DAW is occupying my mind for quite a while now.

Red Baron14th January 2021 06:23 PM

If some of you uses win7 64 bit, have you been able to open this Eq in your DAW?

By a chance, do you know if this is eq is for Win10 only ?

nichttuntun14th January 2021 07:53 PM

I only can confirm that the AVA-Legacy EQ works perfectly under Win7 / Cubase / PC.

I installed it within a bundle of 5 AVA plugins, eg the MastertingEQ and the DS, so I guess they all work as the LegacyEQ.

Red Baron15th January 2021 12:58 PM

Thank you very much nichttuntun for answering.

I have to find the reason why DAWs such as Reaper and Pro Tools crash down when I try to open AVA Mastering EQ.

Hi, i am not run Win 7 but 10. My AVA DS and ME crash Reaper on Win 10 when i want close GUI. It doesnt matter if VST2 or VST3 both crash on the same situation. I found "solution" i have to switch to UI before closing and after that plugin can be closed withou crashing Reaper.
I tried VST host wich is standalone app and AVA plugins works as expected. On mac High Sierra Reaper everything work OK to.
Harrison support wrote me that cant replicate my issue and advised me to contact Reaper Support. Wich i didnt do yet.

Thanks a lot, in my case, before the plug-in opens it makes my DAWs crash.

Maybe there is an incompatibility issue with some of the plug-in I use, next time I format my computer I will do some tests.

magreb19th September 2022 08:05 AM

I compared this EQ to many other "mastering" EQs, and this sounded better for sure! (at least for this purpose of doing small dip on 160hz) I am happy.

Also, the bands perfectly matches my RME spectrum analyzer, so they are a great match!

Keep up the good work, Harrison is a serious company and I love the no BS interface! :)

I don't know whether I can trust your plugins any more as Dan Worrall has recently exposed them. :cowbell:
